I don't think you can. I think you can only put Young Dragons and Adult Dragons in there. My apologies if this turns out to be incorrect (haven't touched this game in a week, time to get back on and beat it for the 100th time). I'll let you know if this can be done.
I was mistaken. You CAN put baby dragons in the lair. You have to have it in your inventory and not have it as a pet or anything. Pressing "remove" puts it in your inventory.
Amazing game. Enjoyed the demo a lot (might've "cheated" a bit using Ctrl+Shift+D when it was pointless for me to continue to restart and beat the demo). Won't be able to get the full version but I had a lot of fun nevertheless.
So, that means you have two saves in the same slot - one on the cloud, and one in your local saves. It will show both of them, just choose which one you want to keep. If you want both of them, hit X, export the save, and then reload the game and it will ask again and you can select the one from the cloud with the other one still exported.
Hey I bought this game about a year ago and I remember something about receiving a full version for those who supported the early version I've been unable to actually play it for a long time as I've been on chrome book and I'm not smart enough to use Linux. Is there any limit to how long your progress on the aground server thing is saved?
(I'm kinda scared about how much content there is going to be when I am able to play again lol the alien "bombing" thing really scared me when it happened as soon as I started playing and my precious buildings dissapeared I had nuclear reactors on all the islands)
There's no limit - the saves will stay there until you delete them. Steam is pretty easy to install on chromebooks right now (see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGWRD_U9FSs ), and it will install all dependencies needed to run Aground - so it might be easier to install using steam than trying to run the linux executable directly (you should have a steam key with your itch.io purchase).
Hi, I LOVE this game and the first time I played the demo i couldn't get enough of it. I really want to buy it, but i can't download games on my laptop. If I buy the game, can I play the purchased on browser?
Ah ok, I greatly appreciate you replying to my question. I am greatly impressed with your game as I saw in the DEMO version. In just that i saw a great set of gameplay that really traps the player. I found it nearly impossible to put down once I started. I saw similarities to other games i played, but despite that it has its own personality that makes it a diamond among emeralds. Thank you for all the work you have done on this and other your games.

I tried a game at the "easier" level, for a change. And quite early on there was a new quest, the Secret Potion quest. I completed the quest, drank the potion and got turned into a smurf. Was that an April Fools joke? Does it have a purpose? I kinda like the new look. Will it fade away?
Are there many differences between the difficulty levels? I noticed when playing at the hardest level one should factor in chewing the food before taking the next bite. (Unfortunately I could not get passed the aliens inside the largest enemy starship, so I eventually gave up that level.)
Yes, that's an april fool's joke - the quest can only be gotten on april 1st, but you can continue to craft/use potions after getting the quest to change your appearance. It will never fade away, but you can reset it back at the surgery lab.
The difficulty modes just change things like damage or add an eat cooldown (some modes also reduce carrying capacity and skill points per level). Nothing major, but as you saw it can make some areas that were easy a challenge, or challenging areas easy. You can switch it around as you want at any point.
Recently I nearly finished a game in which I didn't attack the Old One (I wanted a version in which the background on Sunset Island wasn't destroyed). So there was no subsequent bombardment. I've defeated their boss and also destroyed the nursery and the colonists have settled down with me on Starting Island. Now, if I were to take on the Old One (and win, of course), would there still be a bombardment as a consequence? I'm very reluctant to just give it a try and perhaps spoil that thing that I wanted to keep safe for so long in the game.
Is there a way to remove/undo the Absorbtion spell? I recently drained all the water below The Heights, drilled all the tiles away and created my own basins (for easier access to snaptopusses, sharks and pearl-clams) using the Absorbtion spell. At first, with only two large basins, it seemed to work. So I made more. But this did not result in seeing more creatures swimming there. Frankly, it seemed to be less. Sharks and Heliumsac creatures did not return.
Is it possible to bring water to higher places? Is there anything one can do to identify spawning spots for sharks or spitting(helium)fishbirds?
One thing that has been bothering me for a while now (something I should have mentioned way earlier) is the visual presence of the cable in the game. I think it's too thick and too yellow.
Finally, I still enjoy playing this game very, very much. Thanks again.
1. Bombardment cannot happen if the final boss is defeated (although you also won't get the quest to fight the old one).
2. Cast book of absorption on the tile you want to remove it from.
3. No. Also no (although their spawn range is large, they will appear in any water in that range, hence why there appear to be more if there's little water as they all have to crowd in that small area).
4. Any smaller, and you probably wouldn't even know what it was. It's a thick cable, but I think that's ok.
Honestly, not a lot - most of what I wanted to add I added or am currently adding (like Multiplayer). There's a lot of little things, and a few spaceships and post game content that I still want to add, perhaps in post launch updates, but that's about it.
Which software should i use to make transparent images. Plz can you tell any software with which people make mods.Any one would help me a lot but it should be easy to operate.
You need to make a transparent png to remove the background - some programs like MS Paint can't handle transparency - so you might need to use a different program.
Why full version is in red colour also my many things are missing after pasting the mods . Help me i cant play it fully ,many things are missing Why???HOW can i make it normal please help.
Full version is red if it fails to load. Either you are missing files or a mod is interfering with it. If disabling mods doesn't help, try redownloading the game.
I see everyone requesting things to appear in the game, but I wont. This game is absolutely amazing.I remember playing it a few months back and now I was curious and played it again. There was so much improvement. This game is so great.I absolutely love it!I love you much you work on this game and how much you care about players suggestions!
Has aground multiplayer launched?? if not when it will launch i cant wait. Will i have to give money to buy it or it will be on existing game i have on steam?
Multiplayer is in a closed alpha (check out #beta-feedback in our discord [https://discord.gg/Aground] if you're interested), and we hope to have it in a public beta early march and live early april in time for the full launch. Multiplayer will be a free update for everyone who already bought the game.
In aground trailer there are 6 confirmed planets at 0:51 but in reality there are less than 6 planets. Why. Will more planets will be added in next update??
We decided to spread the planets across several star systems instead of having them all in one. There are more than 6 planets (7 major, plus several minor). The starting system now just has 1 major planet, 1 minor planet (where you get the exotic matter to make FTL jumps to other systems), and 1 ice giant (like neptune).
Aground is set to $15USD on all storefronts, but some stores (like Steam) enable regional pricing by default. That means that the cost of the game in some countries is higher or lower than $15USD based on the country/economy (and I trust Steam to set a fair relative price). Itch.io does not have regional pricing, so it's the same in all countries.
The story is complete at this point (although I might add some more post-game content). There will be more updates though - right now I'm working on adding Multiplayer to the game.
The game saves right before you fight the mirrows - so you should see the save in the continue list. Are you playing on Steam or in the browser? Saves don't automatically transfer unless you are using the Aground cloud, but you can import/export them from the options menu on the title page. If you were playing in the browser, saves are sometimes lost if you clear browser history, switch browsers/computers, or play incognito.
And the game keeps getting better...! I keep discovering more creatures, places to go, how to create new items and how to look at surroundings through different glasses. I placed a ladder under water. The result was quite surprising. I recently had a giggle when my caracter was strutting around (after having rebuilt Earth and letting the colonists settle down over there) donning his brand new spirit fox helmet which suddenly opened fire on a band of pink ghosts coming out of nowhere. Also I've caught a "magnestone" and a "magnewyrm"! (A thing I hadn't thought possible after having had a go at other creatures that just won't be trapped.) Now I finally know what to call them. And that leads me to my quastion: Could (and would) you reveal what the untrappables are called by you, the creators of the game?? (So far I've been calling them: purple turtles, nautili (nautilusses?), blue crabs, wreckingballfish, buzz-scorpions, bullet-cyborgs, bubble clams, bloodleeches, tar-spitting fish, lettuceheads, rhino-snails, giant caterpillars, giant earwigs, giant wasps, giant seahorses, chandelier-jellyfish, night-dinos, flying shrimp...)
Honestly, most of the enemies that can't be caught don't have official names, just ids (I come up with names as needed). For example, the blue crab's id is literally blue_crab. Maybe one day I'll add a bestiary with official names and descriptions for enemies you encounter...
Hi fellows, the game is still great. And because it's quite complex I sometimes can not remember how I solved certain quests the first time around. At the moment I can't remember how I did the quest for the alien on Mars. I've got the book of translation, but the other thing... big question mark. And I can't check it on another slot because when I have a look at the same quest it just says "completed" and the requirements are gone. Would you give me a hint, please?

The lab is a temporary area, you don't get to access it again. Right now, I'm focusing on adding multiplayer and releasing the game as it is, not additional post-ending content, but I'll keep your ideas in mind for potential post launch updates. For earth, you cannot end the meteor shower (some players suggested a moon-quest where you could stop it), but they do not harm buildings or tiles, and can be blocked completely by walkways (unlike bombardment, which breaks walkways). Once you deactivate the drones, they will only attack if they are damaged and malfunctioning - if you aren't attacking them, and they aren't being hit by meteors (protected by walkways), then they will be docile.
A couple of ideas for when every quest has been done: 1) a terraformer machine that refills all the tunnels one has dug; 2) a (very expensive-to-make) machine that refills the land with ores and gems; 3) more comfort requests from the other colonists (a disco, a bar, a pool-hall, a bowling alley, tv, peddle-boats, private quarters, ...); pastures/corrals/ponds for all the creatures/animals caught (I feel sorta uneasy seeing all those cages and having spend years locked up in boarding schools myself. quick question how does one have a baby dragon in the lair? I've tried unequiping them or having them equiped. i don't know what to do

I had a file saved on the FancyFishGames website. When i tried to continue to play, it asks me if I want to overwrite it. What do I do??

Will the game ever be coming to console?
Yes, it's currently being ported and should be released by the end of 2020 - I'll announce more details as we get closer.
That's awesome.
Hi, I LOVE this game and the first time I played the demo i couldn't get enough of it. I really want to buy it, but i can't download games on my laptop. If I buy the game, can I play the purchased on browser?
No, unfortunately the full version of the game would not perform well in the browser as it's too big, so the full version is downloadable only.

You're welcome! Thank you for playing!
can you jump? how do you jump?
You can't :-(
lol
because some of us cant offered the full version
hey fancy do you think you could do a limited time multiplayer for the demo pls
aground is the best game in the who world
I have tried to figure out a way to play multiplayer online as I even looked over your directions but I don't know where you can just join a game
or is it only in the full version?
Multiplayer is only in the full version - the demo doesn't have the multiplayer button.
Can you add multiplayer to the demo?
Maybe something small like just LAN would also be nice :)
this is really fun

Are there other dates (like April 1st and Halloween) on which the game offers an extra quest or a festive treat?
There's snowmen and Christmas lights in December... but just those 3.

Well, I love it. I tried it a couple more times, and my caracter now resembles the Hulk. Green, blue hair. Just smashing!!

This game is endless with possibility with three different worlds the one you start on, the east and the west.
There's a lot more than just those 3 islands (at least, in the full version, but there are some secret islands in the demo beyond those 3 as well)!
Wow that is so cool!!
theres a hole in the ocean
aslo quick questions: recipes for ice gear? why the helium sacs?
more important is the helium sacs
This game is the best it is just wonderful how you grow in it and develop succeed and crucial choices.
what is something you wanted to add but never got to it
Honestly, not a lot - most of what I wanted to add I added or am currently adding (like Multiplayer). There's a lot of little things, and a few spaceships and post game content that I still want to add, perhaps in post launch updates, but that's about it.

Why the game at steam is cheaper than other sites
In fancy fish it is 15 $ but in steam it is only (450 rupees my country currency) ie only 6$ at steam.
Aground is set to $15USD on all storefronts, but some stores (like Steam) enable regional pricing by default.
Often, talking to the NPC who gave the quest will give you a hint, but you need to use the book of translation inside a dragon ship you control.
could you add more plants too the game like potatoes (in Russian ascent) the people would be pleased
I don't want to overwhelm players with too many food options, so the current amount is probably all there will be in live. That said, there are many mods that add foods, including potatoes: https://aground.mod.io/potatos
Is there a way to put an end to the meteor shower on Earth? And/or putting an end to the flying drones and the submarine drones attacking me? But I'm afraid they'll be shrieking their lungs out all day if I was to do that without taking care of the drones and meteors first.

I kinda want to set them free. Same goes for the girl stuck in that exofighter in my storage.) 4) a translation book for the yetis (or other magical creatures). Maybe they're not so violent once we find out what's ailing them. Maybe if I was to build them some igloos (or proper houses for that matter) we'd come to some kind of cooperation... (I'm just spitballing here. There's no need to respond to all of this.)
So I came across a cave I had not seen before on the Unnature Sanctuary, which was fun. But I was actually looking for the lab in which I defeated the Chimera creature. Is it out there? Or do you only get to see it when you're pitted against Splicer?
Hello devs, this game seems really nice and did it have some in-game narration ? If yes maybe it could be translate in some other language ? Happy new year btw
There is no voice overs (we felt it didn't fit with a pixel game), but we are planning official translations to other languages at the full release (and there are already many fan translations).
Glad to ear that you got some help :) do you have a translator to a future French update ?
I'm pretty sure our console publisher (Whitethorn) is doing an official french translation, which they'll share with us for the PC full version too!
Perfect, thanks for the answers and wish you a good day!
I wanted to give this game to somebody as a gift. How does that happen? I've already bought the game for myself and from reading the purchase page I can't tell how the game will end up at its destination. After I've checked the box "gift" will there then pop up a box in which to place the e-mail address of the intended receiver? Please clarify this for me. (Keep in mind that I'm a dinosaur, so please don't get technical or assume that I have any knowledge of any software whatsoever.)
And how is the gift presented to (in this case) the birthday-boy? Will it be highlighted in his (or his parents') mailbox when it arrives and not be confused with advertisement junk?

i feel like the final boss should be harder all you need to do is spam it with the exo mech (the update was awesome and keep up the good work)
